The team at Holmbyre have several years of experience looking after cats and we pride ourselves on providing first class conditions. We are fully insured and are registered with North Ayrshire Council.
We provide an extremely high quality of individualised care to all of our guests. The proprietor Billy has a special interest in animal behaviour and rehabilitation and link with several societies and experts such as the SSPCA and Cats Protection. We are more than happy to cater for cats with special needs whether the need is behavioural or medical.
Holmbyre Cattery has been constructed and is operated in line with International Cat Care guidelines (formerly Feline Advisory Bureau (FAB).
Holmbyre Cattery has been custom built and has 21 single / double chalets and two very large family units. Each chalet is totally enclosed, has a large viewing shelf, thermostatically controlled heating and an outside undercover run with a shelf.
Greig lives on-site and for added security the cattery is fully alarmed and has 24 hour CCTV.
Time is spent each day with all our guests to make sure that each cat is happy and comfortable. We would recommend that you bring your own bedding, which has familiar smells and helps your cat to settle in quickly.
All cats must have an up-to-date vaccination certificate that shows that the cat has been immunised against Feline Infectious Enteritis and Cat ‘Flu. Booster vaccinations must have been administered at least ten days prior to boarding.
